ALI ABOUFARES, MD, FACC, FSCAI
Dr. Ali Aboufares is an interventional cardiologist and a vascular specialist. He specializes in diagnosing and treating heart and blood vessel diseases including arteries and veins. Dr. Aboufares is the former Associate Director of the Endovascular Section for the Center for Interventional Vascular Therapeutics (CIVT) at Columbia University Medical Center.
Currently he is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center and remains on faculty at New York Presbyterian Hospital
He has several specialty and subspecialty Board certifications in cardiovascular and peripheral vascular disease. In addition to academia and extensive clinical experience with several thousand procedures cited in his logbook, he is an avid researcher with numerous publications in peer-reviewed medical journals and book chapters. He is a frequent lecturer at various medical conferences and has appeared on television for medical interviews and commentary.
RAMI SARTAWI, MD
Dr. Rami Sartawi is a double board-certified physician in the fields of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology. He specializes in minimally invasive procedures involving almost every organ, but has particular interest in vascular medicine. Dr. Sartawi is the former founder and director of Interventional Radiology at Pikeville Medical Center in Kentucky. He has been working simultaneously with OMNY in New York since July 2016, and recently joined the practice full time.
He completed his diagnostic radiology residency training at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville and subsequently a fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. Dr. Sartawi is a member of the prestigious AOA and Tau Beta Pi honor societies, and is an active member of the society of Interventional Radiology. He has lectured at multiple medical conferences, has been featured in multiple news articles and is involved with multiple ongoing research projects in the field of vascular medicine.
PARTHA SARDAR, MD
Dr. Partha Sardar, MD, specializes in general cardiology, vascular medicine, interventional cardiology, and vascular interventions. Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology, Dr. Sardar holds the position of Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center. His clinical focus includes hypertension, peripheral arterial and venous diseases, varicose vein treatment, along with coronary and vascular interventions.
Trained at Brown University and Massachusetts General Hospital, an affiliate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Sardar is a distinguished researcher with a portfolio of over 70 published research papers on cardiovascular diseases and treatments. He has been a featured guest in television medical interviews and commentary, and he is a frequent lecturer at national meetings.
DR. PERSIO LOPEZ-LOYO
Dr. Persio Lopez, an interventional cardiologist and cardiovascular disease specialist, is fluent in English and Spanish. He focuses on preventing and managing atherosclerotic disease, heart failure, and performing coronary and vascular interventions. Dr. Lopez is board-certified in multiple specialties and is an assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center.
He trained in Internal Medicine at NYC Health+Hospitals/Metropolitan and completed fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology at Mount Sinai Morningside. Additionally, he pursued advanced fellowships in Hypertension and Heart Failure at Mount Sinai and James J. Peters VA Medical Center. Dr. Lopez holds a Master’s in Clinical Research Administration from George Washington University and has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals.

ROBERT OTTERBECK, MD
Dr. Robert Otterbeck is a highly qualified anesthesiologist and pain management specialist in New York, NY. Graduating from SUNY Downstate Medical Center and completing his anesthesiology residency at NYU Langone Medical Center, he excelled and served as Chief Resident in Anesthesiology.
Dedicated to reducing pain and enhancing patients’ well-being, Dr. Otterbeck has developed expertise across a wide spectrum of pain-related conditions, including low back pain, sciatica/lumbar radiculopathy, lumbar stenosis, chronic post-surgical back pain, neck pain, cervical radiculopathy, neuralgia/neuritis, complex regional pain syndromes, causalgia, pain associated with osteoarthritis, and chronic post-surgical pain, among others.
His comprehensive approach to pain management involves a diverse range of treatment options, such as physical therapy, non-narcotic pain medications, and advanced interventional techniques. These encompass epidural injections in the lumbar, thoracic, or cervical spine, nerve blocks, nerve ablations, radiofrequency ablation, peripheral nerve stimulators, the MILD procedure, joint injections (using steroids and gels), sacroiliac joint injections, as well as dorsal column and dorsal root ganglion stimulation/spinal cord stimulators.
